We welcome group volunteer days! We can schedule your staff, church group, club or organization upon request. Check out the open dates on our Golden page and if they don’t fit your schedule email us to see what can be set up for your group.

We have food distribution at our onsite pantry in Texas City every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9am to 3pm and Fridays from 9am to 12pm.  We usually need at least 10 volunteers to help in the pantry. Our volunteer needs change frequently, so please check our Golden page often.

There are Saturday volunteer spots open from 9am to 12pm. Please sign up in advance. We like to have at least 20 volunteers on a weekend. The 2nd Saturday of every month is preparing the Homebound boxes, which go out to the elderly and disabled that cannot come to us for our services.

We have a monthly need for anyone who would like to have a consistent volunteer opportunity to take Homebound boxes for the elderly and disabled throughout Galveston County. This is a once a month volunteer opportunity and volunteers must complete a background check. Contact Kelly Boyer at Kelly@galvestoncountyfoodbank.org for more information.

We offer Island volunteering with the Galveston College – Food for Thought Program. These volunteers must complete a background check at no cost. This needs to be completed 3 days prior to the volunteer date. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator for the background check form, volunteer@galvestoncountyfoodbank.org

Please check our Golden page April through June to assist with our Kidz Pacz children’s summer meal program.

If you dare to scare,  we have the Haunted Warehouse volunteer opportunities during the month of October. Contact Julie Morreale at Julie@Galvestoncountyfoodbank.org
