What really sets our county apart is its people: generous, kind, and always willing to help their neighbors. It’s the reason we love living here.
Unfortunately many of our neighbors here in Galveston struggle to find adequate food for themselves and their families. At the Galveston County Food Bank, our mission is to provide essential food services to those in need, no questions asked. From our local food pantries—which have distributed over 7 million pounds of food and hygiene items—to our mobile and homebound food services, we are able to fill a critical need for fellow county residents.
This year, let’s show what makes Galveston County truly special: the generosity of people like you. Help us raise funds for our lifesaving work by donating on Giving Tuesday—Tuesday November 27—through our easy-to-use online platform. Just $1 can provide 3 meals for your fellow county residents.
It’s easy to remember: after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday comes Giving Tuesday. Think of GCFB this year with your donations and help other Galveston County residents enjoy a more secure 2019.
We appreciate your support and thank you for your generosity.
